Why hasn't anyone one told me about this?

I have dry skin so moisturizing bars work best for me. Dove with Shea Butter is packed with moisturizers. In my opinion, it's creamier than other Dove soaps. This beauty bar helps keep my skin supple and smooth. Although, I wouldn't recommend this to those who have oily skin.

The Henri Calayag Touch

Part of my New Year's Resolutions is to have a regular hair cut at the Henri Calayag Salon. It's been three months since I've had my trim with Mother Henri. Bad. I can't help it because whenever Mother H cuts my hair, it grows out beautifully and even after so many months, my hair still looks stylish.

If not for Aryanna who's been wanting a trim, and Alex (bassist of the band General Luna) who's also in need of a new rock star do, I could've left my hair for a few more weeks. Or not.

Here are Mother H's new "babies":

According to Mother H, Alex's hair style is called "Just Been Bitten Red".
You have to see the color and cut of Alex's hair in person! Fierce!

My thought bubble: Wag ka ng kumontra, Jenni. Shut. Up.
Mother: "Tilda Swanson ang peg." *walks away*
Me: "Ahhh... Gan-dah!" LOL

Henri Calayag has been cutting my hair since 2000. My friend Romina Urra-Gonzalez was the one who introduced me to Mother H. He gave me my signature pixie cut. I've had so many variations of my short hair and every time I go to his salon, I really don't know what the end result will be. It's an exciting process! In the end, I love it and I always get complements for my hair. In fact, if you follow me on Instagram, you would see how many "Likes" Aryanna, Alex and I got with the photos I posted of our new do's!

Aryanna is the next generation of the Henri Calayag "babies". If you ask her, she would tell you that she loves going to Henri Calayag Salon for a beauty day with mom.

Mother also taught Aryanna how to style her own hair.

NARS Blush in "Orgasm": If you Google NARS Blush in "Orgasm", you will read countless reviews on how fabulous this particular rouge is. It was dubbed as the "Queen of all Blushers" because of its "perfect" shimmery pinky-peach shade, typically reserved for those with olive skin tones (perfect for Pinays!)

Lav et: I am a convert! If you see me in person, you would probably notice my translucent reddish blush or a metallic pink rouge on my cheeks. I use them to achieve the "ka-age" (youthful) look. Haha! After trying the NARS Blush in "Orgasm", I realized that even with my pasty-colored skin, the peach colored blush (it's really the perfect peach shade) looks good on me, therefore, it is universally flattering on most skin tones!

Celebrities who swear by it: Jennifer Lopez, Katie Holmes, Amanda Peet, Mandy Moore, Mary Louise Parker, Marcia Cross, and Victoria Beckham. (Thanks to NARS Blush in "Orgasm", they all get the shiny, glowing look!)

NARS Lipstick in "Schiap": Before designer fuchsia lipsticks, there was NARS Lipstick in "Schiap". The shocking matte pink hue has jolted beauty junkies since the first time it was launched and is still making "shock" waves now!

Lav et: NARS Lipstick in "Schiap" shocking pink hue, matte, non-drying formula. Unfortunately, it's always out of stock! I just console myself with the NARS Nail Polish in the same hue.
Also, if you buy the NARS 'Tainted Love' set, you'll save at least a P1,000 compared to buying each one individually.

Spring Scents

I am grateful to be working in an environment that is cold (read: airconditioned studio).
In fact, I have to bring a jacket or wear boots to keep me warm — very Fall/Winter lang ang peg.
So far, all my shoots have been indoors, but I am dreading the next campaign I'm working on as it will be on location. In a farm. No trees. Just a field. I'm melting. @.@

I wish summer in Manila is just like the way perfume companies describe it in their press kits: "Refreshing sunny summer days!" or "Lose yourself in a field of flowers?" and my favorite, "Evoke the freshness and spontaneity of a springtime fancy!" OK, wherever those places are, please feel free to take me there. Now na.

Anyway, I have to admit that with a few spritz of my fave scent, it helped me feel refreshed. Just a bit. Teeny tiny.

In the end, looking at my perfume bottles make me happy! Spring joy!

Summer in bottles:

Burberry Summer
A fruity fragrance with citrus top notes of orange, mandarin and delicate green leaf. Lily of the valley, freesia and rose add a soft floral tone.
