This year, MEGA magazine brought the competition to greater heights by bringing the excitement to primetime TV. Gen M: Generation MEGA, the MEGA Young Designers Competition 2011 marked the entry of 18 promising fashion designers who battled it out to win the coveted title of Mega Young Designer of the Year. It presented an exciting fashion journey for the chosen 18 participants as they showcased their aesthetic, creativity and ingenuity. After 13 weeks of grueling challenges ranging from a little black dress to haute couture, the winner was finally revealed in a gala night held at Republiq last February 16, directed by Robby Carmona.

I'm honored that MEGA invited me as one of the judges for this year's competition.

Judges!:
Me, Tim, and Tessa! The other judges who are not in photo were
Raya Manaquil, Cristalle Belo, Avel Bacudio, and Sari Yap

Roll credits: Special mention to designer Jun Escario who gifted me the beautiful black lace apron-style cocktail dress I wore at MEGA's event. Thank you so much! I love the dress! Please visit Jun Escario's boutique at Greenbelt 5, Ayala Center, Makati City. Thanks also to Aranaz for the leopard clutch! I wore an agate neckpiece from Arnel Papa. My shoes were from Janylin and the long sleeve top is my favorite Bayo long sleeves tee. So proud I wore all-Filipino that night.

The stunning Joey Mead hosted the event.
The eight finalists' collection
Jearson's collection was my one of my favorites!
The winner: Russell Villafuerte. Congratulations!
